MoneyShow’s Nevada Privacy Addendum
For those who use MoneyShow’s our services and reside in Nevada, MoneyShow’s Nevada Privacy Addendum explains your privacy rights related to MoneyShow’s services under the Nevada Privacy of Information Collected on the Internet for Consumers Act (NPICICA) and the Nevada Senate’s Bill 220 (SB-220), and how to make a request to exercise those rights with the company.
According to SB-220, a consumer under Nevada law is any individual that engages in commercial activity with a company and resides in Nevada. Senate Bill 220 grants Nevada-based consumers the right to opt-out of the "sale" or licensing of their "covered information" by certain web-based "operators" to another person in exchange for monetary consideration. Under SB-220’s definition of “sale” it does not preclude the disclosure of covered information to certain entities, such as the following: disclosures to service providers; disclosures at the consumer’s request; disclosures for purposes which are consistent with the reasonable expectations of a consumer considering the context; disclosure affiliates of the operator; and disclosure as an asset that is part of a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy or other transaction in which the person assumes control of all or part of the assets of the operator.
If you currently reside in Nevada and would like to exercise your rights under SB-220, please access MoneyShow’s Data Request Web form here. Please note, MoneyShow has the right to ask you to take reasonable steps to confirm your identity, and that by submitting your request, you acknowledge that MoneyShow is not obligated to respond to your request unless MoneyShow can verify the request as defined under SB-220. You also acknowledge that MoneyShow has up to sixty days from the receipt of a verified request to respond to such requests, although will endeavor to do so before that deadline. You may also submit a MoneyShow Data Request by phone, by calling MoneyShow’s Customer Relations team at 800-226-0323, Monday-Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm.
