Contra the Heard is an information service for independent investors. Our goal at Contra is to profitably invest our money while sharing with you the whys and wherefores of the investment choices that we make. Most of our value investments have the potential to increase by 100 percent plus, back to where they have traded before. That has led Contra, which has been around for more than 25 years, to have amongst the best long-term track records out there. Worth noting is that many of the stocks that we buy pay dividends. Though based in Canada and with many Canadian stocks in our two portfolios, the majority of our positions are American and trade in the United States. There are also some corporations based in other countries.
