James Oberweis

James Oberweis is president of Oberweis Asset Management, Inc, a $3 billion institutional small-cap manager. Mr. Oberweis specializes in managing portfolios of high-growth small-cap companies around the world. He manages a global small-cap growth fund called the Oberweis Emerging Growth and heads a team that manages two domestic funds (the Oberweis Micro-Cap and Small Funds) and two international funds (the Oberweis Chinese Opportunities Fund and the firm's largest fund, the Oberweis International Opportunities Fund). All Oberweis funds seek to invest in growth companies at an inflection point of change, often within a misunderstood situation. Oberweis is headquartered in Chicago with research offices in New York, Hong Kong and London. Mr. Oberweis has been a featured guest on CNBC and is a contributor to Forbes. He earned a BS in computer science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, an MBA, with high honors, from the University of Chicago, and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
