Orogen Royalties Inc. (OGNRF) has sold its Celts property in Nevada to Eminent Gold Corp. (EMGDF) for $400,000 in cash and shares plus a 3% royalty (of which 1% can be bought back for $1.5 million). Celts was generated under the alliance Orogen has with Altius looking for “Silicon lookalikes” in southern Nevada, writes Adrian Day, editor of Global Analyst.
This past week, most of the resource companies on our list reported quarterly financials. Broadly, results were good though not spectacular, with continued struggles to contain costs. Margins were very strong, and most companies reported good cash flow numbers. Meanwhile, Barrick Gold Corp. (GOLD) remains very undervalued on an asset basis, advises Adrian Day, editor of Global Analyst.
Gladstone Investment Corp. (GAIN) reported a slight decline in gross investment income for the quarter just ended. But lower expenses after high gains-based incentive fees the previous quarter meant that net investment income increased at the Business Development Company (BDC), highlights Adrian Day, editor of Global Analyst.
Orogen Royalties Inc. (OGNRF) reported that First Majestic, the operator of its sole cash-flowing royalty mine, announced a new discovery at depth and adjacent to the Ermitaño mine. Six out of seven drill holes into the Navidad zone hit mineralization, with some grades, notes Adrian Day, editor of Global Analyst.
