David Pryce-Jones, senior editor at National Review, was educated at Magdalen
College, Oxford. Among many assignments around the world, he covered the wars of 1967 and 1973 in the Middle East. He has

Frederick Jewett chair in religion, philosophy, and public policy at the American Enterprise Institute. The 1994
recipient of the Templeton Prize for Progress in Religion, he has written numerous books, including The
